SMTP Settings for Email Messages
Configure SMTP settings to send emails for the following cases:
- Two Way Authentication: Enable two way authentication for all users/for admins & managers alone. Receive OTP in email & login each time for more security.
- Sending Offline Messages: Email the offline messages to the associated user’s email address, so that they will not miss them while away from Output Messenger.
- Forgot Password: In the Client Log in screen, user can request for reset password code, which will be sent through email. Only when clients are allowed to change password, we will have this option.
To define SMTP details
In Output Messenger Server, click Configuration > Email Settings option to configure email settings. Click “…” button & provide the required details in the popup.
SMTP Field Description
| SMTP Fields | Explanation |

| SMTP Server | Provide our SMTP server name. |
| Username | Enter the username that you use to connect SMTP |
| Password | Enter the password that you use to connect SMTP |
| From Name | Provide the name that identifies you. This will be set as sender name. |
| From Email | Provide the email id, from which you want to send mail to your users. |
| Port | Mention the port to be used to send mail. |
| Is SSL | Enable this to send highly secured mail |
1. Two Way Authentication
Enable “Two Way Authentication” & choose “All Users” or ” Only for admins & managers”. While trying to login their account, OTP will be sent to their email ID. Using that, they can authenticate & login to their account. Please ensure that all users/admins/managers have an email address assigned to their account.
2. Email Notification for Offline Messages
You can enable “Send Offline Message notification email to users” and select the preferred timing on which email will be sent from server to related users who are having offline messages.
Please ensure that all users have an email address assigned.
3. Forgot Password
Click on the Forgot Password link present in your client login screen if you have forgotten your password. Reset code will be sent to email. Using that reset your password & login. This will work only when you have an email associated to your account.
